All experience

At 15, Kit started their professional theatre career in Stratford-upon-Avon. Somehow, nothing’s put them off it yet.

In one form or another, storytelling has always been a crucial part of Kit’s continued existence, from drama games and short story competitions to national tours and video commissions. As their career has progressed, two running themes have emerged: Shakespeare and comedy. Maybe it was growing up so close to the Bard’s bones. Maybe they have a deep-seated psychological need to make people laugh. Maybe you don’t need to overthink it.

Born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon, Kit moved to London in March 2020 to pursue acting and writing, just in time for all the theatres to close. Undeterred, Kit was published by CBS Online, appeared and had work showcased in online scratch nights, and played William Shakespeare himself in Bard In The Yard - a one-person play Deliverooed to your garden at the height of the pandemic. Kit is still based in London, keeping up with commissions and self tapes, and making up queer people to tell stories about.

Kit has training and qualifications in: food hygiene; organising for power; palliative care; political education; manual handling; person handling; food allergy and intolerance; dementia care; counselling skills; driving; and cheesemongering. They’ve got absolutely no official training or qualifications in acting or writing.

It’s all about experience.
